Opinel No 8 Camping Knife

This handy box is a gift givers delight. Within the well crafted wooden box you will find an Opinel Knife and  Alpine sheath, covered by a plexiglass cover. 

The knife blade is 8.5 cm long and is made out of carbon steel. This knife is extremely hard, which guarantees excellent cutting quality with good wear resistance and easy grinding. 

The handle is made of Beech, in fact it is the most commonly used wood for the manufacture of Opinel handles. 

The knife also has the Safety Ring. This was Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the Virobloc safety ring is fitted to all folding knives from the N° 06. Cut out of stainless steel, the Virobloc has two sections, one fixed and one sliding. In addition to locking the blade open (safety in use), it is now possible to lock the blade closed (safety in transport).

We advise you to avoid damp locations and to wipe and grease the blade after use.
